Kelly is a fifth generation Idahoan, so he tends to do things a little differently. As a financial planner, he encourages our team to take a neighborhood approach to retirement planning. Kelly believes in keeping things simple. He believes we should listen more than we talk—placing an emphasis on communication and providing honest, straightforward answers. He believes education about our markets is invaluable for investing, and he knows the importance of financial planning.
The Wood Tarver Financial team knows it’s imperative to plan for your financial needs, invest for the long term and to be mindful of investment fees.
Many of our clients are Baby Boomers working hard to retire, and many are women. Our clients enjoy our holistic approach to coordinating investments, tax planning and estate planning.
Given his humble beginnings, Kelly believes in paying it forward, and is very involved in our community. Along with his wife, Cathy Jo, they enjoy reading, gardening, music and the Greenbelt. They love spending time with their blended family, including four children, Amy, Ryan, Christopher and Johnny “Rocket”, along with their beloved golden retrievers. Ryan, his oldest, is bipolar and has taught him about patience, grace, and compassion. His journey has led him to specialize in families with special needs adults including legal, tax, Medicaid and investment strategies.
